John 14:1-3
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

Robert Warren Geisel, also known as “Bob or Gus,” was born on June 7, 1942 in Boston, MA to the late Frederick Geisel and Valda (Willis) Geisel who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his older brother, Fred Geisel and his older sister, Lorraine Geisel. Bob passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Zebulon Rehabilitation Center in Zebulon, NC.

Bob was a hard worker. He moved from Boston, MA to Baltimore, MD and finally to Wendell, NC for work. He enjoyed being a truck driver most of his life, but also worked for a nursing home and sold vacuums in his younger years. He loved football, especially the New England Patriots. Bob use to love a good beer and Maryland steamed crabs were a favorite of his.
He was a jokester and loved to make people laugh. He loved his sweets, especially Werther’s original caramel hard candies and was even sharing them with the nurses while in the hospital. Bob also enjoyed making fudge every week to share with others and he enjoyed gardening and planting tomatoes.

Bob is survived by his daughter Nicole Broadhead; son-in-law Kevin Broadhead and their 7 children; Logan, Kyle, Bryanna, Isabella, Madelyn, Charlotte and Carson; His daughters Cheryl Geisel, Charlene Geisel, Kimberly Geisel, his grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other family members and friends. A quote Bob shared with his daughter years ago by Abraham Lincoln...“We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.”
