Mr. Donald Ray Holden

I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore
Very deeply stained within sinking to rise no more
But the Master of the sea heard my despairing cry
From the waters lifted me now safe am I

Donald Ray Holden, son of the late Willie and Lurene Holden was born November 6, 1946, in Wake County, NC. He went to his resting place on Tuesday, January 23, at 1:45 am. 

Donald was a truck driver, dedicated mechanic and loving father. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was the life of every party. He lived a joyous life and will be remembered for his good deeds and vibrant spirit.

Donald was preceded in death by; Willie Jr. Holden, Ruby Linda Holden, Billy Lee Holden and Annette Holden.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories; his six daughters Tonya Woods (Zebulon, NC), LaTonya Curtis (Knightdale, NC), Jessica Curtis (Raleigh, NC), Christal Stewart (Raleigh, NC), Alisha Yarborough (Raleigh, NC), Kim Perry; 8 sons Donald Jones (Wake Forest, NC), Don Stewart (Raleigh, NC), Marcell Jones (Riley Hill, NC), Maurice Jones/Annette (Zebulon, NC), Charles Sykes (Angier, NC), Darnell Sykes (Angier, NC), Carnell Sykes (Angier, NC) and Melvin Blackwell (Cary, NC); sisters Brenda Holden (Zebulon, NC), Patricia Holden (Raleigh, NC); brother James Holden/Priscilla (Wake Forest, NC); 35 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; best friend Hezekiah Mangum and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. 

Visitation of Love and Remembrance to be held Friday, January 26, 2018 in the Chapel of Richard Harris Funeral Home. Visitation beginning at 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

Celebration of Life Service to be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Zebulon First Baptist Church, 304 E. Barbee Street Zebulon, NC 27597. Services beginning at 2:30 P.M.

Interment- Wake Forest Town Cemetery
