Mr. James Michael Stancil

James Michael Stancil affectionally known to his family and friends as “Big Dog” was born on July 23, 1952 to the late, Daniel Stancil and Laura Stancil. James Michael Stancil entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 07, 2017.

   Mike grew up in Zebulon, NC and attended James E. Shephard High School. As a young adult, Mike moved to Raleigh and later to Philadelphia for a short period of time.  Mike later moved back home and resided in Raleigh until he was quietly called home by his heavenly father.  Mike was very kind and always had a smile on his face.  Mike had a loving heart and a strong love for God.  Mike loved his family and friends.  Mike worked in church as an usher and performed many other duties in church.  Mike was a member of Community Fellowship Outreach Ministry where he was a good servant; doing anything he was asked to.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Stancil and Laura Stancil.

Mike leaves to cherish his memories his siblings, Peggie Harrington of Wendell, NC; Alvin Stancil (Chinita) of Wendell, NC ; Shelia Johnson of Raleigh, NC; Daniel Earl Stancil of Zebulon, NC; Jean Goodson ( Rickie) of Zebulon, NC; Chris Lee of Wendell, NC; and Howard Stancil of Wendell, NC and a host of nephews, nieces and family.
