On Tuesday, August 7, 2012 God called Lakisa Denise Macklin home. Lakisa was born November 14, 1975 to Mr. Harrell and Brenda Macklin in Washington D.C. Lakisa was the oldest of nine children.
Lakisa was educated in the Rocky Mount City School System. She was affiliated with Bethel Commandment Church of the living God.
Cherishing her memories are her paternal parents Mr. Harrell and Brenda Macklin of Washington, D.C., her paternal grandmother, Rosa Marie Freeman of Suitland Maryland, two daughters; Nakisa Macklin of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Brittany Macklin of Tarboro, North Carolina, four sons; Deleon Macklin, Tyle Macklin, Joseph Macklin, and Joshua Macklin of Tarboro, North Carolina, three brothers; Deacon Deleon Macklin (Idrissa) and Joseph Macklin (Alexia) of Baltimore, Maryland, Alvin Macklin (Kimberly) of Washington, D.C, five sisters; Katrina Macklin of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Audrie Joya (David), Joylonda Day (Gerald) of Washington, D.
